Privacy
This site sets no cookies, has no accounts and collects no personal data. The only exceptions are ordinary server logs and the third-party requests your browser makes for fonts and stylesheets.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no login, no forms, no newsletter signup, no comments and no personalisation. There is nothing on this site that asks you for information, so there is nothing for us to store.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no session tracker and no consent management platform, because with no cookies there is nothing to consent to.
Server logs
The web server that serves these pages keeps standard access logs, as essentially every web server does. A log entry contains the requested path, a timestamp, an HTTP status, a user agent string and an IP address. These are used to keep the site running and to see whether pages are being served correctly.
We do not use logs to build profiles, we do not join them to any other dataset, and we do not sell or share them. They are retained for a short operational period and then discarded.
Third-party requests
Two categories of external request happen when you load a page, and both are visible in your browser's network panel.
- Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which necessarily exposes your IP address and user agent to that service in order to deliver the font files.
- Stylesheets and one script for the layout framework are requested from the jsDelivr content delivery network, with the same technical consequence.
Neither is used to identify you by us, and neither carries any identifier we set, because we set none. If you block these requests the site remains readable, with system fonts substituted and some interactive behaviour reduced.
Outbound links
Pages link to external sites including protocol documentation, block explorers and one commercial console. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's property under their policy, not ours. We have no visibility into what happens there and no control over it.
Children
This site is educational material aimed at adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, which includes children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the changed text will appear on this page. Since there is no mailing list and no account system, there is no mechanism by which we could notify you individually, and creating one would require collecting exactly the data this policy exists to avoid collecting.
Questions
Privacy questions go to the address on the contact page. There is no data subject request process here in any meaningful sense, because there is no stored personal data to request, correct or delete.
